Dear mom and dad, or – as they call it over here – ”husse” and ”matte”,
I just wanted to let you know that I’m doing fine on my vacation! I mean, sure, I cannot understand a single word they say here. It’s all greek to me and these language barriers have indeed been the root of some minor problems, hiccups and general misunderstandings. Nothing major of course but still. Take, for example, my daily brush routine. I’ve been struggling to get the personell here to understand which direction to apply the brush. We’ve admittedly been making progress but we’re still working on the finer details. Like I said – nothing major – but it would certainly have been a smoother ride to check into an international establishment. We shall discuss this further upon my homecoming.
Still, given that they cannot speak properly here, I must admit that the comfort level indeed meets my overall expectations. I have, at my command, my very own door to the outside here. That is certainly a big plus in my book. I’m still working on the functionality of it however, given that they left no instruction manual for it but they are very forthcoming in aiding me as well as giving me a backup solution in the form of a wide open window, should I not be able to get back in.
So – overall, a comfortable experience with some minor flaws. It is probable that I shall take these up in my feedback with the staff at a later time. I look forward to seeing you and faithfully await your return.
Mr. Scrufeee (that’s three ”e” and that is how I spell it and that’s all there is to it.)
